The Jim McClure tribute bike, Mr. Spokehead

Thanks mainly to Rush Carruthers, Steve Leedell, Brum, Carl, Ronny Aasen and Ron Houniet, Team Turboville had a great 2006 season and is set for 2007. The 160ci Overkill powered bike was built as a tribute to Ian's friend and mentor, the late, great, Jim McClure, of Virginia. Mr. Spokehead was Jim's internet persona on the famous 'NITRO 101' forum of www.stripbike.com.

BRUM PUTS HIS BACK INTO IT AFTER A BIG BURN-OUT

IAN CASTING FOR THE ROLE OF NEW CREW CHIEF TO REPLACE BRUM.

IT WAS CLOSE BUT EVENTUAL WINNER  -   STEVE 'DENZYL' LEEDELL

2006

Was a great year for the team! Ian, Brum and Carl, competed the whole of the ACU 'Top-Fuel Bike' series, against the supercharged four cylinder bikes, and various other events such as the 20th. Anniversary Bulldog Bash.

In the end we came second in ACU Top Fuel, first in the SPRC championship and first in the APIRA championship. We set personal bests at every meeting and finished the year older, wiser, quicker and faster. We were also voted 'SPRC-Best Appearing Bike' by the voters on Eurodragster.com

We are looking forward to 2007 and racing with the TF2 number on our bars!

The S&S 'top-gas' bike was sold to fellow UK supertwin racer Brian Udall. Good luck mate!

We won the 2004 NAST, Top Fuel, championship on the S&S 'Sure Shot' fuel-bike, which is now a permanent display with Santa Pod raceway. A fitting end for this great little bike, it earned it's retirement!
